Profile: Marco Redaelli has more than 20 years of experience in geotechnical design; he developed his career working for large consulting companies, for smaller and highly specialised enterprises, and also in the public sector. He holds a PhD from the University of Strathclyde (UK) for his research on the reliability of flood embankments. He is a Chartered Engineer in the UK and a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
He led the geotechnical design of major underground works, like the marine tunnels for the new nuclear power plant of Hinkly Point C (2013-18) and the Mumbai Coastal Road Tunnel (2018-21).
